03 Jun Reading Is Not a Chore, It’s a Habit
Growing up is fun and exciting, yet, there are plenty of times throughout school when reading doesn’t seem like a habit, it acts as a chore. This is mainly due to the fact that you were not read to growing up like you should have been. In our previous posts, we started giving parents some reasons why reading to their children is so beneficial. If you’re just joining us, we highly recommend you read the benefits, then continue reading today’s post! So, without further ado, here’s how you can make reading not a chore, but a habit.
- Did you know that the earlier you start reading to your child, the better? Think back to when you were in school; did you ever skip out on reading chapters in the novel you were assigned to read as homework? If so, you can bet that it was because you didn’t read enough when you were younger. Studies have revealed that the earlier exposure to reading books, with an adult and alone, can aid in wanting to read when growing older. Instead of reading being a chore, it’ll hopefully become a habit! Plus, you’ll reap many of the previous benefits too!
