Babies who are four to eight months old need about 14 to 15 hours of sleep each day, and it’s the period in time when their circadian rhythms are emerging. Because of this, our child care providers recognize that it’s important to have a routine sleep schedule. Ideally, a child should sleep at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM for short daily naps. This sleep is needed for both mental and physical development.
